1. Outdoor LCD digital signage advertising business is growing


In a traditional sense, LCD digital signage products in a broad sense refer to display terminals that are concentrated in public places and publish information or product advertisements. At present, such products are mainly used in "indoor" applications. Indoor display mainly adopts lcd ad display technology, because of its high resolution, delicate color, stable product performance and easy installation and maintenance. Due to the special use environment of "outdoor", the products are required to have the characteristics of high brightness, protection and durability.


Billboard advertising, which has been around since the mid-1800s, may seem a bit dated, but the advent of digital signage has seen a sudden resurgence in the popularity of these displays. In fact, billboards and digital advertising are growing areas of advertising, while radio, TV and print advertising markets are shrinking.


Many companies are finding that the presence of huge displays can mean a huge impact, and they are leveraging the power of digital billboards in creative ways.


2. The annual scale of outdoor large-scale digital signage is nearly 15.3 billion


With the gradual control of the epidemic, the economy has begun to recover, and outdoor advertising has also regained its vitality. According to data, for the whole year of 2020, the market size of outdoor large-scale digital signage is close to 15.3 billion yuan, a slight increase of 0.3% over the same period.


In the same period, the "Quarterly Report on LCD Digital Signage Market Analysis in Mainland China" shows that the scale of outdoor small digital signage is less than 1 billion.


Outdoor large-scale digital signage started late in China, especially the development of large LCD screens was active with the 2008 Olympic Games, and then entered a period of vigorous development. Benefiting from the rise of the "night economy" and the pull of new infrastructure policies, it is expected that the annual growth rate of the outdoor large-scale digital signage market will remain above 10% in the next five years, and the market size will reach more than 27 billion yuan in 2025.


3. The demand for digital signage in commercial buildings ranks first, and the demand for large LCD screens is the fastest growing


According to the survey, outdoor large-scale digital signage is mainly used in the information release of commercial buildings, accounting for nearly 40%. The demand for outdoor digital signage in buses and subways is second, accounting for more than 20%.


In recent years, LCD screens have become the first choice for media releases due to their advantages such as construction cost, brightness, and good color display effects.


In the display area of more than 500 square meters, large-scale digital signage mostly uses LCD screen. Compared with LCD wall, because of its irreplaceable characteristics, it is classified as a type of application scene, called super-large LCD.


The proportion of large LCD screens is about 17%, and the compound growth rate is the fastest in the past three years, reaching as high as 9%. Other typical application scenarios include aviation terminals, rail transit platforms, store terminals, school campuses, etc.
